I am pleased to share with you this nice Italian (March 2017) review for LINES TO INFINITY (Navona Records NV6070). Here is the link to the Kathodik review:  http://www.kathodik.it/modules.php name=Reviews&rop=showcontent&id=6529                                     "What is striking from listening to this selection of chamber music pages (not more than three instruments, among which prevails the flute, alone or accompanied by piano, oboe, clarinet, cello) of the Dutch authors Hans Bakker and Peter Greve is above all the fine craftsmanship of their compositions. Both they move in an area that I would call the "contemporary neoclassicism," which draws mainly on shades and accentuates the rhythmic elements and contrapuntal. The clarity of writing joins the expression of private thoughts and emotions, sometimes through the use of lyric cues of interest, or more generally by means of a certain imaginative freedom in treating and combine the thematic materials and in creating the trend internal to the individual movements more suited to the particular expressive needs. The quality of dialogue in instrumental level reflects a more general communicative urgency that informs the works of both authors."      Reviewer: Philip Focosi      Added: March 1st 2017
