I started composing "More Light" with the music of "Foshan from Afar" for flute, pipa, erhu, viola and cello in my head. (Also on MusicaNeo) It is in an idiom that is an amalgam or synthesis of my own musical language. - Background is giving sound to the following thought: The human soul has a great desire to be touched. There is apparently something in reality that is barely comprehensible; and where the mind as a guide does not help. Yet there have always been people in all peoples and cultures who have come to insight and wisdom based on their own experiences. And that Light still shines...
