Description
As the title already suggests PRELUDE & FUGUE for string quintet/string orchestra (2009) is a work rooted in tradition, although it speaks with its own voice. Originally written for the piano, this quintet version creates a compound texture using the instrumental voices. The piece is very dear to me, because it always acts to me as an aide-mémoire to tune my inner self. It has been recorded on my first Enhanced CD THE UNNAMED SOURCE, with amoving performance by instrumentalists of the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, on the label Navona Records (NV5832).
