Description
This three-part piece is dedicated to the players who also performed the Sonata para Clavecin y Guitarra by Manuel Ponce. The first movement is reminiscent of the Sonata form, but here it primarily has the meaning of a sound piece. The second movement is a lyrical Largo. The third movement is a sort contrapuntal Toccata, with each voice used reversibly with respect to the other voices, respectively guitar, harpsichord r.h. and harpsichord l.h. The work wants to express the reciprocal love between Siva and Parvati, his Śakti. (Or with Goethe's words: "Das ewig Weibliche Zieht uns hinan" on the one hand; and on the other hand: the love of the soul for its deepest ground.)
