Both Prelude and Ballade can also be performed separately.
There is some modern playing technique in the middle part of the BALLADE, but as a whole I consider it a homage to H. Villa-Lobos.
The preceding PRELUDE anticipates the lyric of the Ballade, but contains much more modern playing technology, e.g. golpas and flamenco elements. The piece is expected to premiere in next November by Ruud Harte.
